On foot

The walking route is about 90 km long and takes place mainly on dirt roads, mountain paths and on some short sections of secondary asphalted roads.
The Walk of the Silent Villages is traced in a ring and revolves around Mount Croce di Serra, the highest point of the Amerini mountains with its almost one thousand meters high; it is necessary to carefully follow the yellow signs, as per the legend, as the path runs through large uninhabited stretches with long passages in the woods.

Generally, the route can be done by anyone with a fair amount of training, as there are no technically difficult sections but only, of course, a little tiring.

It is advisable to carefully evaluate your physical abilities and the training you have, however there is always the possibility of being able to shorten or lengthen the stages to your liking; in 3 – 4 days for the most trained and sporty, 5 – 6 – 7 days for the less trained who want to travel it in complete tranquility, organizing themselves through the paper guide and the Excel sheet that will be delivered on departure or sent in advance on request .
